About

I am a postdoctoral research associate within Nobel Prize winner Prof. Didier Queloz’s research group at the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Warwick, with my Master’s thesis measuring B meson decay branching fractions using data from the Large Hadron Collider. I obtained my PhD from Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), where I designed and coordinated the QUB secondary eclipse programme to characterise the atmospheres of hot Jupiters using ground-based photometry. Following that, I was a CHEOPS postdoctoral fellow at the University of Bern in Switzerland where I coordinated the largest programme on the CHEOPS space telescope, to refine the radii of systems of multiple small transiting exoplanets.

My Research page describes my current and past research interests, spanning the migration and atmospheres of hot Jupiters, the dynamical history of multi-planet systems, and my involvement with the SPECULOOS and CHEOPS space missions. If you are a student or parent interested in gaining authentic research experience in exoplanet science, my Mentorship page describes a bespoke one-to-one research course designed and delivered by me. A selection of my published works — including papers in Nature, Nature Astronomy, and Science — can be found on my Publications page. For any enquiries, please visit my Contact page.
